Australian Architects – Transforming Anganwadi Centers

Project Highlights

  • The Government's Anganwadi centers provide daily supplementary meals to children, and health counseling to mothers to prevent malnutrition. But many Anganwadis are in bad conditions which discourages women and children from using their benefits.

  • The Australian volunteers design and build beautiful anganwadis in the slum areas of Ahmedabad, Gujarat which the children love. The result is higher attendance from children & mothers, and lower malnutrition rates.

  • 12 beautiful anganwadis have been completed so far and the 13th is being planned.
  • Project: Transforming Anganwadi Centers

Australian architects fly all the way to India to design and work with local builders to construct beautiful Anganwadi Centers. Just so that our children can have a brighter future.
