Podcast guest terms
These terms apply to guests appearing on The Indian Impact Podcast. Questions? Email team@theindianimpact.com.
1. Recording permission
The guest understands and agrees that the recording may include audio, video, photographs, screen captures, transcripts, subtitles, and other materials created during or in connection with the recording.
2. Permission to publish
The guest grants The Indian Impact a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to record, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, stream, display, communicate, archive, and promote the guest's participation in the podcast.
3. Platforms and formats
The permission includes publication on The Indian Impact's website, podcast platforms, YouTube, social-media platforms, newsletters, event pages, promotional materials, audio/video players, and other current or future media formats.
4. Editing and presentation
The Indian Impact may edit the recording for length, clarity, technical quality, legal compliance, editorial structure, subtitles, translation, and promotional extracts. The Indian Impact will not intentionally edit the guest's statements in a materially misleading way.
5. Clips and promotional materials
The Indian Impact may create short-form videos, audiograms, quote cards, written excerpts, thumbnails, transcripts, captions, and other promotional assets using the recording and the guest's approved or publicly available professional information.
6. Guest materials
The guest confirms that they have permission to provide any photograph, logo, document, presentation, music, video, or other material submitted to The Indian Impact. The guest grants permission for those materials to be used in connection with the episode and its promotion.
7. No guaranteed publication
Completing the form does not guarantee that the episode will be published. The Indian Impact may postpone, cancel, edit, or decide not to publish an episode for editorial, technical, legal, scheduling, or operational reasons.
8. No editorial approval right
The guest may provide factual corrections to their biography, job title, organization, links, or claims directly attributed to them. The guest does not receive final editorial approval over the episode, title, thumbnail, edit, description, or publication schedule unless separately agreed in writing.
9. Compensation
Unless separately agreed in writing, the guest's appearance is voluntary and unpaid. The guest is responsible for their own equipment, internet connection, preparation, and participation costs.
10. Confidential information
The guest should not share confidential, restricted, commercially sensitive, or legally protected information during the recording. The guest should notify the host before discussing information that requires special handling.
11. Third-party rights
The guest is responsible for ensuring that their statements and submitted materials do not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, confidentiality, privacy, trademark, or other rights.
12. Marketing consent
Permission to record and publish the podcast is separate from permission to receive newsletters or marketing communications. Marketing consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
13. Privacy and data handling
The Indian Impact will use the information submitted through this form for guest coordination, production, publishing, promotion, communication, and record keeping as described in its Privacy Notice.
14. Withdrawal and removal requests
A guest may contact The Indian Impact to withdraw optional marketing consent or request correction of personal information. Withdrawal of recording or publication permission after recording may not automatically require removal of content already published, unless required by applicable law or separately agreed in writing.
15. Governing law
